DUTIES
1. Customer-Centric Solution Development
•
Engage with customers to understand their logistics challenges and business goals.
•
Work alongside sales teams to develop and present tailor-made freight forwarding solutions that optimize supply chains.
•
Serve as a trusted logistics advisor, ensuring customers receive strategic, flexible, and scalable solutions
2. Cross-Department Collaboration
•
Together with sales teams to align solutions with customer requirements, supporting them in customer meetings and proposals.
•
Work closely with operations teams to ensure that solutions are feasible, scalable, and smoothly executed.
•
Collaborate with the BOD by providing insights on customer trends, business expansion, and competitive positioning.
•
Facilitate internal training for sales and customer service teams to enhance their understanding of logistics solutions.
3. Costing, Pricing & Vendor Management
•
Negotiate directly with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and warehouse providers to secure the best pricing and service levels and build long-term strategic partnership
•
Develop cost-saving strategies through route optimization, carrier diversification, and vendor management.
•
Ensure pricing strategies align with market conditions and company objectives.
4. Solution Implementation & Continuous Improvement
•
Oversee the smooth execution of proposed solutions, ensuring compliance with service agreements.
•
Monitor customer feedback and operational performance to identify areas for improvement.
•
Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, innovation, and service expansion.
•
Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and customer demands to enhance service offerings.
REQUIRED
•
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
•
5 years in forwarder, pricing or supply chain management
•
Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of ocean freight, air freight, trucking, warehousing, and customs regulations.
•
Excellent verbal and written communication in English/Chinese
•
Familiarity with CRM systems, freight management software and data analytics tools.
•
Passion for solving customer problems and delivering added value.
•
Ability to collaborate with different teams—sales, operations, vendors, and leadership.
•
Costing & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze cost structures, optimize logistics networks, and develop pricing strategies.
•
Experience in contract negotiations and supplier relationship management
•
Willingness to travel as requested
